Bengaluru: In a huge relief to the racing community, the state government on Thursday gave the Bangalore Turf Club the go-ahead to complete the summer racing season comprising four race days. “We are very happy to have received temporary permission which allows us to complete the season. Over the next few days we will have further discussions with the government authorities,” BTC chairman Shivakumar Kheny said.

In action on Friday will be the Inayathulla-trained Auspicious Queen (Angad up), which is likely to garner maximum support in the SKJ Infospaces Bangalore Summer Million, the feature event to be run over a mile. First race at 1pm.
