Bitcoin is on another tear.
The cryptocurrency continued to gain, after settling Monday at the highest end-of-day level since December 2021. It has risen around 35% over the past month, reversing the crypto-market doldrums of 2022 and most of 2023.
Other markets were more sedate Tuesday. Stock futures edged higher, with contracts for the Nasdaq-100 gaining the most. Indexes fell Monday, failing to build on last week’s Nvidia-fueled rally.
Coinbase stock rallied in premarket trading. The crypto exchange’s shares tend to fluctuate with bitcoin prices.
Zoom shares soared premarket after the video-conferencing provider forecast higher-than-expected adjusted profit for this year.
Treasury yields slipped: The yield on the benchmark 10-year note edged down, after rising Monday.
Global markets were mixed. China’s CSI 300 index and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index both rose around 1%. The Stoxx Europe 600 index and Japan’s Nikkei were flat.
